During the betting phase, a player must bet or raise in order to win the pot. This is true even if the player has a fouled hand. Usually, the action begins with the player to the left of the button. If the player has four of a kind, a royal flush, a flush, or a straight, the hand wins. When the players tie, the odd chips go to the player with the highest hand. If the players have a low or a high hand, both of them may call for new cards. In this case, the poker hand with the highest suit wins the hand.<\/p>\n
