Poker is played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards. Some versions include jokers. The cards are ranked from Ace high to Ace low, from 10 to 9, and in some cases, from two to four. Players make forced bets, or “ante” or “blind bets”, before the dealer deals them. A player who has the best five cards wins the pot. The cards are dealt face-up, or face-down, depending on the game variant. A player’s hand is developed over several rounds.<\/p>\n
A player has two cards in his\/her hand, and five cards on the table. The player on the left is called the dealer. When the dealer deals the cards, the player on the left must cut the deck, leaving at least five cards. Each player receives five cards and then has to choose the best five to form their best hand. If a player has a pair, he or she wins. In addition, players can bluff by betting that they have a higher hand. If their opponents match the bet, they lose the game.<\/p>\n
