The rules of Poker vary from one variant to another, but most involve betting during each hand. The player to the left of the dealer starts each round of betting by placing chips (representing money) into the pot. This is called the \u201cblind bet.” Other players can choose to raise or call this bet, depending on how confident they feel about their cards and the strength of other players\u2019 hands.<\/p>\n
After the blind bets are placed, 2 hole cards are dealt to each player. The player to the left of the dealer then places another bet, which is called the flop. The flop is a community card which all players can use to create their best five-card hand.<\/p>\n
Then, 1 more card is dealt face up, which is the turn. During this betting interval, the player to the left of the dealer can either place chips into the pot or fold his or her cards.
